Technical SEO: make every important page crawlable, fast and understood

If search engines cannot crawl, render or trust a page, nothing else you do for it counts. I find the technical issues holding your site back and fix them, in the code where I can.

Crawling and indexing

The Page indexing report in Google Search Console shows which pages Google has chosen not to index, and usually why. Common causes are thin or duplicate pages, filter and parameter URLs wasting crawl budget, important pages buried deep with few internal links, and canonical tags pointing somewhere unexpected after a redesign. Fixing these often moves rankings faster than anything else.

Rendering and JavaScript

Google renders JavaScript, but not always quickly or completely, and many AI crawlers do not render it at all. I check what search engines actually see, and where key content or links only appear after scripts run, move them into the server-rendered HTML.

Core Web Vitals

Google measures real-user experience with three metrics: Largest Contentful Paint (aim for 2.5 seconds or less), Interaction to Next Paint (200 milliseconds or less) and Cumulative Layout Shift (0.1 or less). I diagnose failing pages from field data, not just lab tests, and fix the causes: heavy images, render-blocking scripts, slow servers and layout jumps. For deeper performance work see website speed optimisation.

Structured data

Schema markup describes your business, services, products, articles and authors in a format machines read directly. It supports rich results where Google offers them and helps search engines and AI systems connect your pages to the right entities. I implement it accurately, matching what is visible on the page.

Architecture and internal links

A clear hierarchy, with important pages a few clicks from the home page and related pages linked together, tells search engines what matters. It is also the backbone of topical authority.

Migrations

Redesigns and platform moves are where technical SEO is won or lost. Every old URL needs a matching redirect, and the new site needs checking before and after launch; see website redesign and migration.

How it works

The process

  1. Crawl and Search Console review

  2. Prioritised issue list

  3. Fixes in code or with your developer

  4. Monitoring after release

Questions about Technical SEO

What is technical SEO?
Technical SEO is the work that lets search engines find, render, index and understand your pages: site speed, crawlability, canonical tags, redirects, structured data, sitemaps and site architecture.
Can you fix the issues, or just report them?
Both. I am also a web developer, so on Laravel and WordPress sites I usually make the fixes directly. On other platforms I write clear tickets for your developers and check the result.
